Modern research institutions thrive on transparency, accessibility, and efficient data management. To support these goals, we developed a custom TYPO3 extension that connects the Pure Research Information Management System (RIMS) directly with the public website of the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology (LIN) in Magdeburg.
This solution enables the automated import and display of rich, up‑to‑date researcher profiles — all maintained centrally in Pure. Staff members can voluntarily provide their information, ensuring full control over what is shared publicly.
Key Features
-
Dynamic Researcher Profiles
Contact details, research interests, CVs, publications, funding acquisitions, and profile photos are seamlessly imported and presented in a clean, structured format. -
Automated Data Synchronization
The extension keeps the website current by pulling updates directly from Pure, reducing manual maintenance and ensuring accuracy. -
Flexible & Privacy‑Conscious
Each Pure user decides which information is shared, aligning with institutional privacy standards and personal preferences. -
Tailored for the LIN
Built specifically for the workflows and needs of the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology, the extension integrates smoothly into existing TYPO3 environments.
Benefits
This integration empowers research institutions to present their scientific community with clarity and professionalism. It strengthens visibility, reduces administrative overhead, and ensures that the public website reflects the latest achievements and expertise of the institute’s researchers.
